Suggestion for the Improvement of the Company Culture in the Centre of Insurance

The thesis “A Suggestion for the Improvement of the Company Culture in the Centre of Insurance” deals with the analysis of the corporate culture in the Centre of Insurance, a company that provides financial services. The main target of the thesis is to ascertain the power and standard of the corporate culture, as well as employees’ satisfaction. It aims to identify the elements of the corporate culture according to Schein’s model, and based on a questionnaire enquiry suggest such measures that would improve the corporate atmosphere and thereby contribute to the increase in the productivity of labour.
Overlaps of Theathre photography: The Phenomenon of Slam Poetry

The aim of the bachelor thesis was to capture the atmosphere of the Czech slam poetry scene and the essence of this young and increasingly popular genre, which is based on the interaction between the artist and his audience. The practical part of the bachelor thesis is a photobook titled Slam poetry: Beyond the limits of poetry. It introduces the genre of Slam poetry through authentic moments from Czech exhibitions, backstage and workshops at school workshops. Furthermore, it also brings personal stories of artists and refer to the creative process of slam texts themselves. The theoretical part aims to describe the specific photographic elements, which are used during the photobook production. It explains the characteristics approaches to theatre photography and focuses on its well-known authors, especially in the Czech environment. It also looks for the overreach of this type of artistic photography into the social sphere through the introduction of photography of subcultures connected with a particular artistic genre. It introduces the phenomenon of slam poetry from its origins through the international and domestic scene to its influence on primary and secondary school education.

The diplomathesis focuses on the influence of rap music on adolescents. The work is based on the analysis and synthesis of primary and secondary sources. The research section relies on qualitative research in the form of semi-structured interviews with informants. The first part explores the history and development of rap in the USA. The second part is dedicated to the Czech rap scene, identifying key artists and events that have shaped it, and examining its specific impact on adolescents. The outcome of the thesis is to highlight the potential negative and positive effects of rap on its listeners. This influence is shaped by various aspects. This thesis focuses on the musical subgenre of grunge, primarily concentrates on the subculture associated with it. It explores the formation and evolution of the subgenre, its influences, and significant characteristics. Additionally, it reflects the specific visual aspects of the grunge style, which both reflected and defined the youth of that time. The work also analyzes the messages and ideas associated with the subculture, often introducing new perspectives on authenticity, freedom, and individuality. It aims to contextualize grunge within a new framework using the theories of sociologists Dick Hebdige and Erich Fromm. Through this analysis, it seeks to understand the elements and values that shape the grunge community and how they manifest in the lives of its members. Through this comprehensive approach, the thesis endeavors to aptly elucidate the multifaceted nature and depth of the grunge subculture, highlighting its significant position within cultural and social contexts.

Subcultural identity of two musical subcultures in the Czech Republic - Hip-Hop and Metal

The focus of this work is on the subcultural identities of two dominant music subcultures in the Czech Republic and specifically their discourse. In the theoretical part of the work, culture and subculture are first defined. Subsequently, the basic theories of discourse in a subcultural context are described. Both subcultures are then described in this work from their first appearance in the Czech cultural sphere to their current state. The practical part of this work explains the research method used, namely discourse analysis of text. The results of this analysis are then presented in the form of selected relevant elements, which are subsequently described in the context of the respective subculture. The conclusion of the work discusses both subcultural identities and compares them. The aim of this thesis is to describe subcultural identities of hip-hop and metal subcultures in the Czech Republic through discourse analysis. The main sources for the theoretical part of the work are primarily professional literature focused on culture and discourse, as well as academic papers that address the analyzed subcultures. For the practical part, selected online magazines that publish articles on hip-hop and metal themes were analyzed.
